Gulf Rim Blogging: Quesadillas

This past Saturday, Gulf Rim Cafe, in Hillsborough, had an excellent special: black bean and goat cheese quesadillas. It's gotten to the point that I will order almost anything containing goat cheese, but I was very happy with the other ingredients, too. I could have used about twice as much guacamole, but that's because it was good guacamole. The leftovers warmed up nicely, too. They also brewed a fresh pot of coffee for me, which I sorely needed at the time.

I'm the same way with goat cheese. If it's on the menu, I'm getting it, unless there's something else so incredibly scrumptous that I can't turn it down. They have the best goat cheese at the N.C. Farmer's Market in Raleigh. There's this family that sets up a booth inside that sells fresh goat cheese and all these different flavored goat cheese spreads (I buy both the jalapeno and the mango). I go often enough that I have a stamp card. Awesome.

  2. Oh, goat cheese with mango sounds really good. I need to go back to the NC Farmer's Market soon, because I haven't been there in ages. The fried oysters there are excellent. I almost ate goat cheese at two different meals today, but parmesan won at dinner.
